A reminder that Liberton Golf Club is holding a Craft and Gift Fair for all members, family and friends on Tuesday, 13th November 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
We have twenty local Artisans displaying their goods and it would be fantastic to give them as much support as possible.
Why not come along and perhaps start your Christmas shopping or just simply treat yourself.
There is no entry fee, but we will be selling raffle tickets on the night and each stall holder will be donating a prize.
Catering will be available, no need to book.
Thank you for your support,
Mount Vernon Golf Club
Congratulations & a big thank you to our Mount Vernon members, Liberton members & to all who have contributed over the last 14 years to help us raise the fantastic total of £101.000 for the Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh.
It all started in 2005 when 3 Mount Vernon members, Colin & John McCallum & Andy O’Donnell walked the West Highland Way to raise much needed funds for the Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh.
The following year a committee was formed made up of Bob Holdstock, Colin McCallum, Billy McLean & Hugh Roarty who all sadly had lost family members to Cancer & were greatly served by the care afforded by the Marie Curie Hospice. The 4 Organised highly successful Sportsman’s Breakfasts for the next 10 years raising funds & around 2014 we added a Golf Day to our fundraising and a new committee member in Jimmy Gardner to add his expertise.
Back when we started our fund raising we never dreamt we would ever reach the fantastic milestone figure of £100,000 & here we are having surpassed that figure.
The Marie Curie Hospice,Edinburgh requires a further £6,175 in donations a day on top of money it receives from the NHS to operate daily. Last year we sponsored Christmas day at the Hospice & are sponsoring 1st January this coming year.
Once again a big thank you for all your support over the years.
Date for your diary — Sunday 31st March 2019 – Sportsman’s Breakfast.
